NATURALLY GUIDED + EDITORIAL IN TRUE TO COLOR & RICH TEXTURES. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?

When searching photographers in your quest for the ONE, it is almost unavoidable to encounter styles and workflows by each and how these will fit what you are truly attracted to when commissioning your professional for the day.

I will explain my photographic workflow that has a 3-layer system:

FIRST LAYER is the editorial, that delivers attention to details with a delicately layered sense to create goal-aesthetics [details make up a portion of the day; they are very important to my flow] In this editorial part, note that this will encapsule the details that make the aesthetics of your day, this may include decor and spaces, personal details, the heirlooms that are passed on from one generation to another, etc.

SECOND LAYER this one brings what I call 'intentional candids'; these are different from true candids, which are just as equally functional and thoughtful with a very light and natural guided direction, but still remaining very authentic to the moment. When capturing the family formal [groups + family] I will take a little more traditional approach - still throw a mix of fun candids while we are getting our groups, my 2nd lead is most likely looking for the organic moments...

THIRD LAYER is the true 'documentary style'; and this is sprinkled throughout the day, I will capture moments carrying heavy meaning sans intrusions, like first looks, dances, interactions that are unrehearsed and I love the fact that these moments are without planned intrusion.

In your day's process, I am very entwined with how I shoot: the light, the space, the emotion that fills the room... These are most key components to the professional portion of our photograph, but then there are colors and textures.

I can guarantee professional wedding photography that reflects honest, intentional, and authentic moments.

TRUE TO COLOR + TEXTURES

Well, your colors delivered in our captures will be true, the same way as your eye see them. My process, for example I love color that just feel good, with mild a pop in other colors while complimenting the aesthetics, scene and light.

Although I have developed a process in editing, the digital world can attempt to conserve what is true on these moments, I still approach the day as if I were not able to re-shoot the moments - Being assertive and I choose to add a pops of color so that you images are not flat, but fun and still being true and not a trend.

I want to transmit a 'feeling', that leads to images to tell the story...

Most likely, if you have inquired with me, it is because you are truly moved by the way I delvelop my images and appreciate natural direction, light guidance, a little structure, my experience, and professionalism.

DIGITAL & FILM

DIGITAL

While it offers the ability to see an image right away and imediately uploading them to platforms and sharing after a shoot it can make it very practical. Most times is quick, becoming verwhelmiong [ so much being thrown at you.] The digital age has made photography fast paced, fast delivered and an instantly rewarding process.

FILM

Offering the incredible feel of nostalgia, like when parents and grandparents who often have their albums which were shot strictly in film, newer generations have grown to appreciate the analog process that too a 'back seat' to digital since Fuji X-DS 1P [1.2mp] when introducing the 1st digital camera in 1989 - Film has made a comeback [Circa 2015] and, with this re-owned appearance, some of us old-schoolers are able to offer this as option to our clients - this is why I offer Love & Nostalgia -I want to still keep FILM relevant. I feel is important. ANd, film in its purest form, is extremely intentional and slow paced and certainly one thing film ALWAYS offered was the gorgeous grain, along with the ability to think-thought the process of capturing the image one wanted. And perhaps, the developing can take a bit to return... Once you hold these images and your spaces are filled with these printed, that feeling just fills the air, taking you back to a place in time.

We photograph all weddings in digital, and I still use my approach as I do in film, allowing me to capture between 75-100 images/per hour - Of course this is also dependent on day's dynamics -We do not overshoot, just to have about 5K images which will delay post processing a great deal - We capture and deliver with INTENTION.

In my work, I romanticize all color's richness in their natural state, the light and true feel that still reveal some softness. I stay clear from delivering images that are flat, with a washed out scenes or overly tinted images , we love the opportunity to create images in an artistic sense like we do when we capture Sunset portraits.

I hope this delivered a clearer sense on how your day will be photographed.
