FINALLY!!!! After 5 years, The Andersons can celebrate their wedding day. Daniel and Mary first met during Field Medical Service Officer School onboard Marine Corps Base Camp LeJeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina on 08-August 2016.
It was during this training, that the two partnered together for an obstacle course, pulled each other through rain, mud, and chaos, and ultimately developed a bond that to this day, remains unshakable. In late September of 2016, Daniel unfortunately had to travel to Southern California to fulfill military orders.
Soon thereafter, the two both deployed, Mary to Europe, and Daniel to the Middle East. Through this, they continued to pull each other through, despite the many hurdles thrown their way, and on 12-May-2017, in Hawaii at Turtle Bay Resort, Daniel asked for Mary's hand in marriage, to which she said yes.
Plan A: Their original wedding date was planned for June 22, 2019 however, Mother Nature had different plans. In September 2018, Hurricane Florence hit the Crystal Coast, causing significant damage to their wedding venue, ultimately leading to a postponement.
PLANB B: Attempt number two was scheduled for June 6, 2020, however, yet again, circumstances intervened, this time due to a worldwide pandemic.
Then there was a move to Texas... The next scheduled date June, 11th, 2022 - This time, they did not face anymore setbacks. And Daniel has been honorarily certified as a wedding planner and sweet Abigail Rose, their flower girl and daughter has been born during this time...
They are relying on the adage, "third time's a charm", and their wedding on June 11, 2022 was truly a blast! The most amazing thing here is that Mary's parents were celebrating their 39th anniversary this day!
TIMELINE:
2017 - Mary & Daniel get married [to avoid being separated during their military deployment, they are both Mds]
2018 - While living in NC - They start to plan to have a wedding celebrations at CCCC in PKS.
2019 - BHAM! Florence hits! Their wedding is postponed until venue gets an overhaul.
2020 - COVID-19 - Wham! Another postponement... All is SHUTDOWN
2021 - They are moved to another state - & we still have mandate for Covid... Yes! Postponed, again!
2022 - No more messing around - We are having a wedding - The most meaningful and sweet time - Now, Mary and Daniel are a Party of 3 and Miss Abigail is part of this very special day!
