Kait + Howard | Pine Knoll Shores | Micro Wedding | Allie Miller Weddings | #MrMrsJoe

Kait and Howard had a beautiful spring wedding in beautiful Eastern North Carolina Coast at the Crystal Coast Country Club located in Pine Knoll Shores, NC

Her colors were light grays, dusty blues, light blushes and ivories. And her gorgeous florals included anemones, peonies, English roses with silver dollar eucalyptus and other greens.

Details were very simple, highlights were a canvas painted by her aunt, also monogramed accents for their cake, ring dishes and coffee, which made mention of being a 'joe' - groom's last name.

This lovely story for Kait and Howard started when they met while taking an English class at Mercer University, little did they know that a year later they would re-encounter with the help of mutual friends and pursued dating, falling in-love.

They have spent a few years creating a beautiful romance story and for the past year they have been planning their special day. But, Covid-19 had an alternate path and threatened to cancel plans but, with the love and the help of everyone - they opted to have their original date 05/24/2020 be the DAY. And, after the governor's order to have only gathering up to 20 people, the Crystal Coast Country Club offered a lovely ceremony with a very private dinner, regardless of the challenges and so after some hard to make choices and some other compromises a final decision was reached.

It was a blast - Kait and Howard had a WEDDING - The wedding of their dreams, magically turned to an intimate and simple ceremony, followed by formal pictures with their parents and siblings. Plans are for a Fall reception in Atlanta to celebrate their reception with friends.

The country club was perfect as Howard is an avid golf player - He has played in many courses, Kait surprised him with a wonderful trip for their one year anniversary to St. Andrews in Scotland.

Howard, surprised our bride with a beautiful Tiffany diamond necklace, that she wore that day - It was oh-so-romantic!

Kait's is dramatic silk dupion ball gown designed by Justin Alexander, featuring a deep V-neckline, delicate spaghetti straps, deep V-back and hidden pockets, complimented by a beautiful bow on the back of the gown as the only embellishment to it simple, elegant style denoting my bride's taste.

Amongst the many details, Kait had their monogram designer by The Shuler Studio and this became part of her cake topper along with a wrap made for her bouquet off her mother's bridal gown - mom made the embroidery herself, what a special memory to keep.

Kait's brother, Zach was specially ordained for this occasion and her bridal party was formed by her sister Em and Sarah her sister-in-law. For Howard, our groom, his Father and Kait's brother were the groomsmen.

About 20 people in total were present - All followed by dinner made by Chef Scott at the CCCC and a very special toast was made -They cut their and we had a beautiful sparkler exit at the end of the night, Kait surprised Howard with a Golf Cart that belonged to her aunt and it was decorated as their gate-a-away vehicle...
