Allie is a hybrid (going beyond film & digital) wedding photographer who, along with a team of equally qualified co-creators based in Eastern North Carolina, offers services while traveling regularly across the state, throughout the country, and internationally.
All hearts crave real connection. Allie sure does!
Although Allie has been honored to capture about 400+ weddings in the past 16 years, she has learned that wedding photography is more than just the photographs. And her team shares that same emotion; they know that what's valuable in their wedding work and these are the moments, the laughs, and the happy tears that rapidly become your most cherished memories.
Allie's ethos is to be an unobtrusive observer, documenting the genuine, unscripted moments of your day as they naturally unfold while gently guiding on the formal side of her work. She believes the most beautiful photographs aren't the ones that are very posed, but the quiet, fleeting glances and heartfelt laughter shared between you and your loved ones.
Her purpose is to steer clear of orchestrating your moments on the day, but rather to gently guide and capture the authentic, messy, and real joy of your celebration, which will become your moments.
Their goal as a team is to create a visual story that helps you relive the true emotion of your wedding day for years to come.
In her photographic approach on the day, she utilizes a 3-layer system; the first layer is the editorial, in which direction is given to the couple, and other details are delicately layered to create goal-aesthetics. Although these are a very small portion of the day, they are very important in her flow. Her second layer brings what she calls 'intentional candids'; these are different from true candids, which are just as equally functional and thoughtful with a very light direction, but remaining authentic to the moment. Her final third layer is true 'documentary style'; sprinkled throughout the day, she captures the moments that have heavy meaning sans intrusions, while offering this to all couples, all the documentary realness seen with the authentic nature of the work as a team. AMW guarantees your wedding photography is approached professionally, with honest, intentional, and authentic moments!

Your day's plan outlines a well-considered strategy that is effective. Allie is known for entering rooms and tidying up to prepare the 'getting ready' suite and its surrounding areas when necessary.
She always looks for the best angles, even if it means rearranging a vase or some furniture. Her team follows her lead and does the same!
Lastly, when she is not capturing special days, she enjoys spending time between the amazing coastal towns of Eastern NC and the beautiful US countryside, or even going overseas. She can be found traveling between North Carolina, South Florida, and Eastern Europe, where she spends time with her family and friends.
She enjoys fruitful conversations, tisanes, coffee, and healthy eats.
