On Saturday April 14th we had the greatest time capturing, following are some images showing all the colors and decor which welcome the 2018 spring season at The Islander Hotel & Resort in Emerald Isle, North Carolina.

The resort was the location for Emerald Isle Realty's "Spring Soirée" - which is held to celebrate the busy season ahead and to recognize their team's great efforts to make every summer a wonderful season for guests who frequent the area. Professional Planner, Krystal B with A Seaside Weddings and Events created a vision that evoked colorful fun with elements that included balloons by We Are Balloons - Floral arrangements from Coastal Petals and floral linens from BBJ Linens - Solid Linens, equipment and tent was provided by Island Essentials

Bar furniture was provided by Charming and Quaint - The beautiful S-shaped lounge sofa was provided by Crystal Coast Event Rentals All Calligraphed Signs were made by Sweet Carolina Collective

Photo Booth services provided by Crystal Coast Photo Booth - They have the best props! Notice the Viking and T-Rex - They took it to the dance floor!

There was also this sweet [ literally ] Donut and Macaroon table filled with goodies from Flip Flop Donuts and La Farm Bakery in Raleigh, NC Beaufort Grocery catered the event for dinner as well as late night snacks with their food truck on site. ----------------------------------------------- Q: Tell us all about the planning details! What planning went into the event? How long was the process?

A: The process of planning this Spring Soiree took about 4 months in total. I started planning around the beginning of the year. The entire theme and party was based off of one item-those awesome floral watercolor table linens from BBJ linen. Once I had an idea of color scheme, I started to reach out to my local vendors to chat about executing everything.

Q: What are you celebrating at this event and why did you want a photographer to capture this party?

A: Emerald Isle Realty was celebrating another success year as a family business in Emerald Isle NC. The owners believe in treating their employees like family and wanted to celebrate all the hard work they all put in each day to make Emerald Isle Realty a top vacation rental, real estate and destination wedding company. I wanted Allie Miller to capture this party for 2 reasons-(1) to be able to share with the employees the enjoyable evening that everyone attended had and (2) to be able to showcase the talent of the vendors involved!

Q: Who attended the party? (friends, family, colleagues, etc.)

A: Colleagues-Emerald Isle Realty's entire staff plus their guests.

Q: How and why did you choose the setting of your event?

A: I chose the setting for the event based off of location, time of year and the watercolor linen from BBJ Linens. It all came together for an entire company to be able to celebrate a year of success and the kick off to another great season at The Crystal Coast.

Q: What were some values or themes you wanted your photographer to capture at your party?

A: Allie was able to capture these themes and values throughout the party: fun, colorful, creative, authentic, original, togetherness, happiness, dedication.

Q: What was your favorite picture from the day, and why?

A: The photo that shows the balloons, the watercolor linen and the bar set up underneath the tent. It is my favorite because it captures the sum of a lot of hard work (in the rain) and ideas that all came together to make one of the most beautiful set ups I have accomplished.
