Brittni & Patrick | St. Paul's Episcopal Church | Wilmington, NC | Destination Wedding Photo

Meeting real couples is something our profession affords us every season.

Brittni and Patrick - They have been dating for years - and their engagement was not surprise. They planned their details for over a year and just wanted to really have a way to honor and remember those who would not be present - Her grandfather, father and brother as well as his grandfather and other family members who were missing for this special day! The colors were burgundy s and navy blues - Groom and Groomsmen wore khakis and polo dress shirts. Our beautiful bride wore a beautiful champagne ballgown, very classic - and bridesmaids had long - sleeveless burgundy dresses -

Hair and make up was done by our friends at Silver Ceiling beauty who spent the morning at brides childhood home getting her squad ready for their day! Silver Ceiling bridal accessories were worn by bride for her day. Gifts were given by bride to her grandmother, mother, mother-in-law, aunt, father-in-law and her uncle prior to getting dressed, each one had a different significance, accompanied with happy tears.

Her blue and borrowed, a vintage handkerchief that belongs to the bride's family for generations and a broché, an angel given to bride by her grandma - These were worn under her gown. Our couple, they opted for a very simple wedding - With a pig picking style dinner, simple table set ups for guests as well as very simple center pieces with only hydrangeas -

The most important thing for Brittni and Patrick was to have their friends and families by their side on their special day. The ceremony was held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wilmington, NC - Brittni's family has worshiped here for generations. It had a great emotional meaning to their family. Two red roses symbolized Brittni's dad and brother - spirit and these were given to grandma, by bride. Her uncle walked her down the aisle. Reception was held at the Wilmington Shriner's Club near Carolina Beach in Wilmington, NC - This venue had a big significance, since her granddaddy was a Shriner. This is the way they decided to honor him. They had a sand ceremony at the club after first dances with parents. A toss of the bouquet and garter were done the only way they knew how, with laughs and jokes!

A little speech was given by bride about 'the penny' - this is a tale that I should share one day!

Well! Needless to say, this was a very fun and fueled by emotion kinda wedding day for them and for us, we had a magnificent time just capturing their moments! Enjoy!
